Intelligent Photovoltaic AC Junction Combiner Box

Jinneng electric Intelligent Photovoltaic AC Junction combiner Box is a critical power concentration and monitoring device connected between PV strings and AC inverters (or step-up transformers). It is primarily used in large-scale ground-mounted power stations and commercial/industrial distributed PV systems where multiple PV strings need to be consolidated before grid connection.

 

Unlike traditional DC combiner boxes, the AC combiner box is positioned after the inverters. It receives the AC output from multiple string inverters, combines these outputs, and then transmits the unified power to a step-up transformer or the grid.

 

 

● AC Power Combining

Consolidates the AC outputs (typically three-phase AC,AC 380V) from multiple string inverters into fewer circuits or a single main output

● Intelligent Monitoring & Data Acquisition

1. Current/Voltage Monitoring: Monitors electrical parameters in real-time for each input circuit, such as AC current, voltage, frequency,and power factor.

2. Energy Metering: Measures energy for each input and the total output

3. Fault Alarm & Localization: Immediately triggers an alarm signal upon detecting abnormal output from any inverter (overvoltage,undervoltage) and precisely identifies the faulty branch.

4. Remote Communication: Typically integrates communication modules (4G/5G, Ethernet, RS485,LoRa)

● Protection Functions

1. Overcurrent & Short-Circuit Protection

2. Lightning Protection: Built-in AC surge protective device (SPD) prevents damage from induced lightning strikes or switching overvoltages.

3. Anti-Islanding Protection: Works in coordination with inverters and upstream protective devices to prevent islanding conditions.

4. Reverse Power Protection (Optional): In certain configurations, can prevent power from being fed back to shut-down inverters.

● Local Display & Operation

Typically features an LCD human-machine interface (HMI) for locally viewing various electrical parameters, energy yield, alarm information.

Allows for parameter settings and switching operations via the local interface.
