Working Principle
APF operates by real-time detection and dynamic compensation of disturbances in the power system:
Step 1: Measures current harmonics/unbalance using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) or PQ theory.
Step 2: Generates an opposite-phase compensation current using IGBT-based inverters.
Step 3: Injects the compensating current into the grid, canceling out harmonics and reactive power.

Difference between Rack-mounted type and wall-mounted type:
The differences between rack-mounted and wall-mounted Active Harmonic Filter AHF systems are as follows:
1. Installation Method
Rack-Mounted: Designed to be placed in cabinets or racks, suitable for large-scale power systems or data centers.
Wall-Mounted: Installed directly on walls, saving floor space, ideal for smaller setups or office environments.
2. Size and Weight
Rack-Mounted: Generally larger and heavier, capable of handling more functions and higher power levels.
Wall-Mounted: Smaller and lighter, easier to install and remove.
3. Heat Dissipation
Rack-Mounted: Typically has better heat dissipation designs, suitable for long-term high-load operation.
Wall-Mounted: Relatively weaker heat dissipation, suitable for lower power applications.
4. Application Scenarios
Rack-Mounted: Used in data centers, large industrial equipment, and other high-power, high-performance settings.
Wall-Mounted: Suitable for small businesses, homes, or small equipment power management.
5. Cost
Rack-Mounted: Usually more expensive due to more complex designs and higher power requirements.
Wall-Mounted: Relatively lower cost, suitable for users with budget constraints.
When choosing between the two, consider specific needs, space limitations, and budget constraints.
