Jinneng Cooperate With Wuhan Automotive Company To Provide Power Quality Solutions
Nov 05, 2025| Characteristics of the Automotive Industry:
1. The automotive industry utilizes a large number of non-linear electrical equipment on its welding, stamping, and assembly lines, such as: cranes, welding machines, lifters, stamping machines, etc. These non-linear loads generate significant reactive power, leading to a low system power factor. Simultaneously, they also produce substantial harmonics during operation, causing large voltage fluctuations in the lines and reducing power quality, which poses a potential threat to the safe and stable operation of both their own and other equipment. When these non-linear loads operate, they feed higher-order harmonics back into the power supply, causing distortion in the voltage and current waveforms of the supply system.
2. Most spot welding equipment in the automotive industry uses a 380V power supply, fed by two phases (L1-L2, L2-L3, or L3-L1). This can lead to three-phase unbalance, resulting in zero-sequence current, necessitating consideration for unbalance compensation.
3. Due to the presence of significant harmonic currents and high reactive power demand, many transformers experience severe heating. During normal operation, transformer temperatures can reach above 80°C.
Problems Encountered:
1. The total harmonic distortion rate in the 0.4kV low-voltage power distribution system severely exceeds standards, causing significant harmonic power losses in electrical equipment and transformers.
2. The natural power factor on the 0.4kV side is low, accompanied by serious three-phase unbalance and reactive power impact phenomena.
3. Conventional reactive power compensation devices suffer from issues such as long dynamic response times and poor switching compensation accuracy, leading to persistent problems of over-compensation and under-compensation on the low-voltage busbar.
Solution:
1. Use active power filter (APF) to filter system harmonics while compensating for reactive power. Non-contact switches are used as the switching devices to meet the requirements of rapidly changing loads.
2. Jinneng dynamic safety compensation device adopts a hybrid compensation method combining three-phase common compensation and split-phase compensation, meeting the compensation requirements for system three-phase unbalance.
Advantages of Jinneng Power Capacitors:
I. Cylindrical shape, compact size, easy installation.
II. Dry-type design, avoiding fire risks associated with oil leakage, ensuring enterprise safety.
III. Uses metallized film, reducing dielectric losses in the capacitors, thereby ensuring a longer product service life.
