Genuine Power Heavy-Duty Power Factor Capacitor can be used in harsh environments. There is a thermal protection switch (to be connected to the secondary circuit) that trips when the capacitor temperature exceeds 75°C and resets when the temperature drops to 40°C.

There is no overpressure disconnector equipped in the capactior and requires no additional installation. Its enclosure, constructed from 1.2 mm thick steel plate, features an explosion-resistant structure, which is why it is referred to as an anti-explosion capacitor also.

Usage instruction

 

  • Installation Environment:

-Suitable for indoor installation at an altitude of ≤ 2000 meters.
-The working environment temperature range is from -25°C to +55°C, with relative humidity ≤ 85%.
-Installation should be avoided in places exposed to direct sunlight, rain splashing, too much dust, or severe vibrations.
-When installation,ensure the distance between capacitors must be >30 millimeters.
-During hot seasons, ensure good ventilation and heat dissipation conditions.

 

  • System Compatibility

-Before installation, it is necessary to assess the impact of voltage rise when power-on, and avoid the equipment to operate under long-term overvoltage conditions.

- Check the supply voltage waveform and grid characteristics prior to installation. If harmonic sources (e.g., large rectifiers, frequency converters, medium-frequency furnaces) are present, take corresponding measures to limit their impact.

- When connecting capacitors in parallel with induction motors, it is recommended to select capacitors with a rated current < 90% of the motor's no-load current.

 

  • Operation and Maintenance

- Use flexible copper wires for connect the line terminals and ground terminals to ensure good contact.

- Users are advised to inspect terminals regularly to prevent damage due to poor contact.

- The interval between power-off and re-energization shall be > 3 minutes (i.e., the self-discharge time) to prevent possible excessive overvoltage that could damage the capacitor.

- Capacitors should compatible with CKJ-type low-voltage vacuum AC contactors.

- The rated current of the contactor should be 2.0 to 2.5 times that of the rated current of the controlled capacitor.
