✅Good cost-performance ratio
- Product Introduction
Jinneng Split Compensation Composite Switch is a new generation of electronic products. It is used for switching single-phase capacitors and adopts the Y connection method.
The Composite Switch is a clever hybrid intelligent switch. It uses thyristors to achieve a "contactless" switching process and then utilizes magnetic latching relays to achieve "efficient" steady-state conduction, perfectly avoiding the disadvantages of both while combining their advantages. It has become a technologically mature, cost-effective, and high-performance solution for capacitor switching in low-voltage reactive power compensation systems today.

Core Advantages (Why Use It?)
It addresses the pain points of both pure "non-contact switches" and "AC contactors":
| Comparison Point | Thyristor Switch (Pure Non-contact) | AC Contactor (Pure Mechanical) | Composite Switch (Hybrid) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Switching Moment | No inrush, no arc (Zero-crossing switching) | Inrush current and arcing present (Random phase switching) | No inrush, no arc (Handled by thyristors) |
| Post-Conduction State | Thyristors conduct continuously, have an on-state voltage drop (~1V), generating continuous heat and power loss, requiring heat dissipation. | Contactor contact voltage drop is minimal (<0.1V), negligible heating, very low power loss. | Relay contacts conduct long-term, resulting in extremely low power loss and heating, no forced cooling needed. |
| Cost & Lifespan | High cost. Thyristors operating continuously under high current place high demands on cooling and components. | Low cost, but contact arcing causes erosion, limited electrical lifespan, requires maintenance/replacement. | Cost is between the two. Mechanical part has no arc erosion, long electrical life; semiconductor part operates only briefly, long life. High overall reliability. |
| Size/Complexity | Requires large heat sinks (especially for high capacity), bulky. | Relatively compact. | Moderate size, usually does not require external large heat sinks. |
Applications
The composite switch is the mainstream and ideal choice for static reactive power compensation, particularly suitable for:
● Conventional power factor correction (PFC) cabinets.
● Applications where load changes are not extremely rapid (cycle times on the order of seconds or more).
● Industrial and commercial projects with high requirements for compensation reliability, equipment lifespan, and operating costs.
● Replacing traditional "contactor + current-limiting reactor" solutions for better performance.
