Jinneng electric 10 kV reactive power compensation cabinet for grid designed for 10kV voltage level systems. Its core value lies in enhancing power quality, operational efficiency, and economic benefits of the power grid through automated control.

The device utilizes its central controller to automatically and continuously monitor the reactive power demand in the grid. Based on preset parameters (such as the target power factor), it can automatically and dynamically switch (connect or disconnect) multiple sets of internal high-voltage capacitors, thereby achieving rapid and precise compensation of reactive power in the grid.

Structure Features

 

Cabinet Structure: The main body is formed from high-quality cold-rolled steel plate (thickness ≥ 2mm) via bending.

Internal Layout: Divided into separate, independently enclosed compartments for incoming line, capacitors, reactors, controller, and operation. Primary and secondary compartments are isolated by metal partitions, ensuring ease of use and simple maintenance.

Modular Design: Capacitor units are installed in a modular fashion, with a single bank capacity of 50-200 kvar. Supports parallel connection of multiple banks, allowing for flexible expansion of total capacity.

Thermal Management: Equipped with top-mounted axial fans (automatically activated at temperatures ≥ 40°C) 

Ease of Operation: Features an intelligent operation panel on the front, displaying real-time parameters such as power factor, voltage, current, active power, and reactive power.

Safety Design

 

The device integrates multiple protection and anti-misoperation features to ensure operational safety:

● Electrical Protection: Over-voltage protection (≥110% rated voltage), under-voltage protection (≤85% rated voltage), over-current protection (≥1.3 times rated current), harmonic over-limit protection (total harmonic distortion ≥5%), capacitor bank unbalance protection.

Safety discharge:Each capacitor bank is equipped with a discharge coil, reducing the residual voltage to below 50V within 5 seconds.

● Safety Interlocks: Door-circuit breaker interlock (prevents closing when cabinet door is not securely shut), circuit breaker-disconnect switch interlock (prevents circuit breaker closing when disconnect switch is open), anti-misinsertion design for operating handles.

● Intelligent Protection: Switching interval protection (≥30s, prevents frequent switching), reactive power reverse protection (prevents over-compensation), communication failure self-diagnosis (with local audible and visual alarm).
