Factors affecting the life of electric capacitors
Mar 29, 2025| Factors affecting the life of electric capacitors:
1.The quality of the capacitor itself: the quality of the capacitor directly affects its performance and reliability. Unqualified quality may lead to capacitor failure or performance degradation during operation.
2. Voltage harmonics in the power grid: Voltage harmonics refer to the frequency components caused by nonlinear loads in the power grid, which may lead to the breakdown of capacitors. Repeated harmonic breakdown of capacitors may lead to the failure of self-healing properties of devices.
3. Current harmonics: similar to voltage harmonics, current harmonics will affect the working temperature of the capacitor, resulting in overheating of the product, which causes the deformation of the metallized film and affects the performance of the capacitor.
4. The temperature is too high: the capacitor will expand and shrink under high temperature conditions, which may lead to the separation of the gold spray layer, thereby reducing the effective capacity of the capacitor.
