Cable distribution and cable transfer
The main functions of cable distribution box include cable distribution and cable transfer.
Cable distribution function: On long-distance distribution lines, the use of multiple small-area cables will lead to resource waste. Therefore, large cables are usually used on trunk cables, and the trunk cables are divided into several small-area cables through cable distribution boxes when approaching the load point. This can make more efficient use of cable resources and is widely used in residential power supply and small user power supply in urban power grids.
Cable transfer function: Due to the length limitation of the cable itself, it cannot meet the needs of long-distance power distribution. At this time, cable connectors or cable transfer boxes are required for connection. In short distances (such as within 3,000 meters), cable intermediate connectors are usually used; in long distances (more than 3,000 meters), in order to avoid the safety hazards caused by using too many intermediate connectors, cable branch boxes are usually used for transfer and extension.
Other functions: The cable branch box also facilitates the docking of cables of different cross-sections, simplifies the complex process of cable intermediate joints, and is conducive to ensuring the quality of docking and routine inspection and maintenance of subsequent operations.
Through these functions, the cable branch box plays an important role in the power system, ensuring the safety and efficiency of power supply.
