1. Reactive Power Compensation

The most basic function of capacitors in distribution cabinets is to provide reactive power. In power systems, certain equipment (such as motors, transformers, etc.) consumes a large amount of reactive power, leading to voltage drops and a reduced power factor. Capacitors help maintain voltage stability and ensure smooth system operation by releasing reactive power, thereby reducing the burden on the grid.

2. Enhancing Voltage Stability

The switching of capacitors can effectively regulate system voltage. During load fluctuations, capacitors can quickly supply reactive power, helping the grid maintain stable voltage and preventing excessively low or high voltage levels. This improves the reliability and safety of the power supply system. For large-scale power systems, stable voltage is crucial for ensuring the normal operation of various types of equipment.

3. Reducing System Losses

The use of capacitors can reduce losses in power transmission. By providing reactive power, capacitors reduce the phase difference of the current, thereby decreasing resistive losses in transmission lines. 4. Improving Power Factor
