APF Active Power Filter Device

Jinneng electric APF Active power filter device integrates one or multiple active power filter modules, a control unit, circuit breakers, contactors, a cooling system, and other core components into a standard industrial enclosure, forming a complete, plug-and-play harmonic mitigation solution.

It acts as an "intelligent purifier" for the power grid, capable of dynamically and in real-time compensating for harmonics, reactive power, and unbalanced currents in the grid.

 

 

Its technical foundation is based on instantaneous reactive power theory and PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology.

1. Detection: External Current Transformers (CTs) continuously sample the load current signal in real-time.

2. Calculation: The built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processor) performs high-speed analysis on the sampled current, accurately calculating the harmonic, reactive, or negative-sequence current components that need to be compensated.

3. Generation and Injection: The controller drives the IGBT (Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistor) power converter to generate a compensation current that is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to the detected harmful current.

4. Cancellation: This compensation current is injected into the grid through a reactor, where it cancels out the harmonic currents generated by the load at the grid side. Ultimately, the current drawn from the grid becomes a clean sine wave.
